Special Educational Needs and Disability - SEND

Special Educational Needs & Disabilities at Banks Road

At Banks Road we pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive, accessible school with high expectations and standards for all. We are lucky to have a staff team and community who are passionate about providing high quality learning experiences and provision for all. We are committed to supporting the whole child to ensure our children can reach their potential.

Special needs means that a child is having difficulties in some areas of their life at the moment. This could be with communication, interaction, cognition and learning, social and emotional difficulties and/or physical needs. Sometimes these difficulties last for only a short time and some continue through a child's life.

This page will give information about how we support Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at our school.

If you are at all concerned about your child's wellbeing or progress in school please do not hesitate to speak to their class teacher or the school SENDCO.

For further information about how we support children in school please see the documents below.
